A New Colour of Cord :o)

Over the past year or two I have searched high and low to find a grey cord. i found a lovely charcoal grey online, but it works out very expensive as I can’t buy it wholesale…so I was delighted to find this colour recently!

It is a mid-grey with a greenish tinge- and it reminds me of the sea on a cloudy day πŸ™‚

This is the lovely Onbag zippy that is made out of the new cord….

I’m trying to take better photos….

…but I’m not sure that I am managing it yet  I have enrolled on a Craftsy course called “Shoot it”

Have no fear, it’s not nearly as violent as it sounds – and is simply a course about shooting better photos of your products. It’s very convenient because you can watch a new episode whenever you have 10 minutes or so spare – which makes it nice and easy to slot into my busy schedule πŸ˜‰

So, today’s episode was all about the colour wheel and choosing the right colour background to compliment your product.

This is easier said than done!

In my house, we mostly have cream coloured walls….and cream doesn’t appear to fit anywhere on the colour wheel- which left me a bit perplexed

Sam’s lovely fabric is mostly blue with a little yellowΒ  – so in the end I decided to go for split complimentary colours which meant that I could utilise the purple wall in our study, and I braved Fotor to make a photo collage with a cheerful yellow frame πŸ˜€

So here it is – but I’m not sure that I have quite cracked the art of product photography yet , so be gentle with me

fotor2Sam’s Onbag is a large Onbag Zippy made out of Michael Miller’s Caribbean Blooms fabricΒ  and black sanded twill. The fabric leant itself to a lovely applique on the front pocket πŸ˜€

Simple and Elegant

This Onbag is another Zippy – this time made out of dark blue cord and Amy Butlers ‘Lark’ fabric !

there are two pockets at the front of this zippy- they are just a little difficult to see ;)

I can hear puppies crting for their food- so I will have to make this a short post I’m afraid….

But to make it up to you all, I will post a few cute puppy pictures later on tonight πŸ˜‰

Critters Zippy

Many of my June customers have seen my posts about the Zippy, and were keen to be among the firstΒ  to buy one….so I agreed, even though the Large Zippy is still about to go off on it’s travels to lots of testers.

The Zippy has already been tested quite carefully by two lovely Mamas, and they only recommended a few tweaks to the design – so I was confident to go ahead with a few orders anyway – especially since the Mamas were so keen πŸ˜‰

So, this is the first of them! It does have an additional flap – so it looks a little different to other Zippies..

The Zippy is a little firmer than other Onbags, and it stays upright on it's own ;)

Introducing……

The Onbag Zippy!!

‘Tis a very exciting day here at Daisy Chain Headquarters, as I have been working feverishly away at a new project for the past few weeks….

Lots of people have asked me recently for an Onbag that:

1. Is a little bit more structured.

2. Has lots of pockets on the outside so that they can get to their stuff whilst they are walking.

3. Hasn’t got a flap.

Now I’m not one to turn customers away if I can help it, and I like to be able to make people happy by customising their Onbags to make them just perfect ;o)Β  So, I set about designing the Onbag Zippy πŸ™‚

Now, I could waffle on all day about all the design features, but a picture speaks a thousand words, as they say πŸ˜‰

The Onbag zippy can be worn like a messenger bag...

And here is one of the new, exciting details……

Wait for it…..

The Onbag Zippy has an extra loop on one of the straps which enables you to use it with sling rings too!!

I am Soooo excited about this feature, as no-one else has ever done this on a Babywearing bag before πŸ˜‰

Sling rings!

Sling rings!

In a day or two, I’ll have a blog post that is dedicated solely to the Sling ring loop – just because I am so ridiculously pleased with it

A few weeks ago, I asked people about pockets. And it turns out that pockets are a Big Deal when you are carrying lots of stuff around. Most people were adamant that they wanted an outside pocket to carry a bottle of water in, and an inside pocket to carry a bottle if they were formula feeding πŸ˜‰

So , the zippy has LOTS and LOTS of pockets πŸ™‚

Outside:

There is a large, zippered pocket on the back...

And to close it all securely….

So what do you think? The Onbag zippy is going on it’s travels to be tested by a couple of lovely Mamas.

I would love to hear what you think about it too πŸ™‚
