One of the things that I am enjoying making at the moment is little birds :0 it does sound rather random, I admit! But I just like their shape, and their colours….and, well – their general featheriness!
Some of the patterns I make up myself, such as the blackbirds and the robin ..who won’t be starring on today’s post being as it’s only Summer and not Christmas LOL.
I have also really enjoyed making these little quirky birds π
They come from a pattern written by Ann Wood, which you can find here.
These birds are pretty small, standing just 10cm tall, and they are quite fiddly too…..No sewing machines necessary – just a sewing needle and a little patience π
But for all that – I just LOVE the moment when you glue on the little bird’s beak- and there he is! All full of character and personality π
Once I get my Etsy shop up and running, I will be listing the birds in it. So if you don’t have the patience or time to make a little character of your own – you can adopt a little bird from me π
(Just to be clear – Ann Wood has allowed people to sell birds from her pattern, as long as she is credited with their design. There will also be a link to the pattern provided on a label round each bird’s skinny little leg)

Love your birds! And the way you photographed them – so expressive. I’d love to share the photos on my blog if you don’t mind (linking back to you of course)
